Efektivitas Quizizz Sebagai Media Pembelajaran Interaktif Untuk Meningkatkan Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis Siswa Kelas 5 SD Pada Mata Pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia
Abstract
Critical thinking skills are one of the 21st century skills that need to be developed from elementary education. However, Indonesian language learning at the elementary level is still conventional and lacks development of students' critical thinking skills. Interactive learning media such as Quizizz has the potential to be a solution to increase student engagement and critical thinking skills. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of using Quizizz as an interactive learning medium in improving critical thinking skills of 5th grade elementary students in Indonesian language subjects. The study used a quasi-experimental design with pretest-posttest control group. Research subjects were 60 5th grade elementary students divided into experimental group (n=30) using Quizizz and control group (n=30) using conventional methods. The research instrument was a validated critical thinking skills test with Cronbach's Alpha reliability of 0.89. Data were analyzed using t-test and effect size. The results showed significant improvement in critical thinking skills in the experimental group (M=78.33, SD=6.24) compared to the control group (M=68.47, SD=7.12) with t(58)=5.732, p<0.001. Cohen's d effect size of 1.48 shows a very large effect. The most improved aspects of critical thinking skills were interpretation (d=1.32) and analysis (d=1.41). Conclusions: Quizizz is proven effective as an interactive learning medium to impprove critical thinking skills of 5th grade elementary students in Indonesian language subjects. This platform provides opportunities for students to actively engage in learning through interactive features that encourage analysis, evaluation, and synthesis of information.
